Permit rules can depend on project size, location, zoning, setbacks, heritage rules, trade permits and property-specific conditions. When the city does not publish a clear rule for every situation, we do not guess.
A “no building permit” result is intentionally narrow. It means the official source supports that outcome for the details entered. Zoning, development, trade, engineering and other property-specific rules can still apply.
